DEBRA’S GARDEN
Living Ornaments
This year, decorate your tree with gifts from nature.
I love this Forest Floor glass ornament created by
San Francisco designer Flora Grubb. Lichens, moss,
feathers, and seeds cushion a living
Tillandsia
air
plant inside a glass ball—an enchanting, diminutive
naturescape. It’s available from
floragrubb.com/bhg.
An occasional spritz of water is all this tiny
terrarium needs to stay looking beautiful—even
after you take down the tree. You also can create your
own. Start with a clear glass
ball that crafts stores sell,
and insert snippets of nature
from your garden. Use a stick
or tweezers to arrange them
in the sphere. ■
